Anuradha Sharma Pujari : Jounalist, popular Novelist, Essayist and Editor of Weekly Assamese Sadin


Anuradha Sharma Pujari is one of those Assamese writers who can walk an extra mile to make her experience authentic because she is going to share her experience with her readers. She is one among those who makes in-depth reseaech before writing on any topic. Her first novel Hridoy Ek Bigyapon was the result of her experience of as a journalist in the glossy corporate world. And this novel was literally a novel subject matter in Assamese literature. Her later novels are Sahebpurar Barashujak, Ejan Iswarar Sandhanat,  Raag Anuraag, Naharar Niribili Shanh, Kanchan, Boragi Nadir Ghat, , etc. She is also an avid short story writer and each of her short stories oozes honest involvement with life and she seems to follow her heart.
Anuradha Sharma Pujari's short story  collections are Ejan Oxamajik Kobir Biography, Catherinar Xoite Eta Dupariya, Baxantor Gaan  and No man's land(in Assamese). Her Autograph is a collection of  Essays which is one of the most widely read essays in Assamese.


Anuradha Sharma Pujari's latest novel is Mereng, which is based on the life of Indira Miri, one of the torch bearer of education in the British era among the tribes of Assam and North East.

As a journalist and article writer she has a few publication to her credit. Anuradha Sharma Pujari's Diary which was a collection of her thoughful essays on life published in Amar Asom. Alop Chinta Alop Gadya  American Soraikhanat Smbad Baxanta Aru Bondhu, Autograph, Kolikotar Chithi etc are  essays  among which Amerian Soraikhanat Sambad baxanta aru Bondhu is a sort of Travel essays which reflects her  independent thinking on Journalism and changing face of it.

Anuradha Sharma Pujari has studied at Devi Charan Barua(DCB) college in Jorhat. After Graduation she has studied Masters in Sociology in dept of Sociology at Dibrugarh University of Assam. Later after her marriage to Pradip Pujari she  studied Masscom and Journalism in Birla Institute of Liberal Arts and Management science, in Kolkata.
