 Hotel Mayur  Guwahati is the first choice for anyone who likes homely comfort and cleanliness during their stay at hotels.  Mayur is first choice among other Assam hotels for a stay at Guwahati for my family too. The sprawling 31,000 sq.ft. hotel is standing tall at Paltan Bazar, the heart of Guwahati city at a walking distance from Guwahati junction.

 It is a bit difficult to get rooms at Mayur without prior booking especially during festive season. But you do not need to worry at all,  you can always book in advance. For the airy rooms, good view, heavy wooden  funiture that makes the atmosphere  peaceful I like to stay at Mayur. I took a  deluxe room during my stay at Mayur, and I liked the spacious bathroom which was kept meticulously cleaned by the hotel staff.

Mayur's in-house restaurant Govind's offers you best dining facilities with great price. The Indian food served here is really good. The vegetarian breakfast here is awesome.

How to reach Mayur Hotel Guwahati

As said above it is just at a walking distance from the railway station. You can get an auto, or taxi or just walk to the Hotel. From Guwahati airport it is a 45 minute ride by car.
